Breaking News: Twitter Crashes after news of Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs Death

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being.”

That is the opening line on the statement released on the Apple website after news broke that former CEO Steve Jobs had passed away. People flooded Twitter to post their thoughts, but the site was soon so unstable that many could not gain access. Twitter has been intermitantantly working since the breaking news of Mr. Jobs passing away.

Steve Jobs said: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

So true! Rest in Peace Steve Jobs.

New Droid Bionic release date rumors — Will the Android Smartphone launch in September?

New rumors suggest the upcoming Droid Bionic by Motorola will release on the Verizon Wireless network in September. Can we really rely bet on the device launching in September since all the other leaked dates have proven to be false?

It was announced the Bionic would launch in the Summer, so it looks like Motorola and VZW have until September 23rd to put the upcoming Android device in stores and on sale.

Of course, many consumers have likely given up on the device by now. After all, there has already been at least one confirmed delay, and now VZW has changed their data plans. No unlimited data for consumers who are not grandfathered in. This could be bad news for the Motorola Droid Bionic. At any rate, some Droid Bionic accessories have become available, and lets not forget to purchase our Android T-shirts and car decals to show support for our favorite smartphone OS.

Everyone will simply have to wait and see if the September 8th Droid Bionic release date rumor holds true.

Motorola Droid Bionic accessories available: Release date rumors continue

Verizon Wireless and Motorola have kept pretty quiet about the release date of the much-anticipated Droid Bionic Android smartphone. Is the device coming in July? August? When? Rumors continue to fly, with the latest saying the device has made its way to the FCC. Meanwhile Verizon Wireless reps hint, but cannot confirm, the Droid Bionic will release in August.

While consumers wait for the actual handset to release, some accessories for the Bionic have starting hitting Amazon, and other online retailers. Couple that with the various Android memorabilia, and all those fanatics should have a field day.

Motorola Droid Bionic: Will VZW Contract Changes Scare Android Fans Away?

Verizon Wireless is changing their data plans as of July 7th, and it seems likely this will hurt sales of the upcoming Motorola Droid Bionic. Fans of the Android device have been pushing for an early July release date, and for good reason!

As from July 7th Verizon will be capping their data plans, so any new customers won’t be able to enjoy unlimited downloads. Existing VZW customers will be grandfathered, but this does little for the large quantity who are holding out for the Droid Bionic release before signing on with the wireless carrier.

If the Motorola Droid Bionic release date happens after the July 7th data plan change, anyone signing up for a new contract will have to pay $30 a month for 2GB of data, $50 for 5GB of data and $80 a month for 10GB of data.

We, the people of Android Chatter, feel this new data plan change is a major fail. At this point it won’t make much difference if the Droid Bionic delay leads to a better device. Motorola could be in for a huge loss if they don’t get the Bionic on shelves before July 7th.

Android Competition: iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S, is Apple pushing out Two Devices?

Rumors suggest Apple is trying to release the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S this Fall. Apparently they are trying to be more competitive with all the superior Android devices that have been making way to the scene.

With phones like the HTC Evo 3D, which is the latest-and-greatest Sprint Android device, and the upcoming Motorola Droid Bionic release pending, it seems almost like Apple would want to get some sort of smartphone on the market.

Two new Apple devices seems a little much. After all, neither handset has been confirmed by Apple, so to jump from none to two sounds very much like an unfounded rumor.

Who knows though what Apple, or any smartphone maker, has up their sleeve lately. They are all in such intense competition with one another that everything is hush-hush until the last moment.

Of course we vote Android all the way! Don’t forget to check out the Android peeing on Apple decal, the Android t-shirts!
